Bake healthy bread at home with our ceramic bread baker! Stoneware conducts heat more evenly and efficiently than metal, and the glazed surface is easy to clean. Perfect for oven use and safe for dishwasher and microwave. The baking dish is perfect for making bread and also for small casseroles, pot pies, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, desserts, or other items cooked in the oven. Also great as a serving piece for side dishes, and because it looks so good, is lovely on the counter or tabletop for any number of presentations. This unique baking dish makes a great gift for the cook in your life or as a wonderful hostess gift.

There are textured handles on either side to hold the baker with your potholders when taking your bread out of the oven (use two hands!). There are different texture motifs available for some of our bakers. Check the drop down menu for availability.

This stunning glaze is rich black that breaks dark brown where thinner, and is topped with a dynamic flowing glaze that reminds us of the foamy head of a stout poured a bit too fast. Each piece is completely different.

Each bread baker includes a book with recipes designed to fit perfectly in our pot. Or try your own recipes - the baker is sized to fit any single loaf or one pound recipe. The recipes included are:

Farmhouse White Bread
Lillian’s Honey Wheat Bread
Blue Moon Beer Bread
Miami Monkey Bread
Mike’s Sourdough Bread

Size: approximately 7 ¼ - 7 ½ inches in diameter and 3 - 3 ½” high.

Thrown on our pottery wheel, then handles are added before the first kiln fire to over 1900 degrees Fahrenheit. After the first fire we apply the lead-free, food safe glaze, and fire again to over 2170 degrees Fahrenheit.

Everything we sell is produced by our artists in our small home studios in South Florida or Atlanta, Georgia. Our stoneware pottery is wheel thrown and finished by hand one piece at a time. All of our pottery is safe for food use and all of our glazes are lead-free and non-toxic. All pieces can be used in the oven, microwave and dishwasher unless otherwise stated. Oven use should not include use under the broiler or direct contact to heating elements.
